Samsung has recently launched the One UI 5.1 software, which is a significant upgrade towards One UI 5. This software has improved the optimisation and added more subtle features to provide a more cohesive and consistent UI experience throughout. One UI 4, which was based on Android 12, brought several features and refinements to the One UI software skin. It improved the animations and added Gaussian Blur. The colour palette selection based on Google’s Material You was also introduced with this update. One UI 5 improved this refinement and the smoothness, scrolling and animations. It created a more cohesive and consistent UI experience throughout.
Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 5.1 update for various Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S23 lineup, Galaxy S22 Series, Galaxy S21 Series (Including S21 FE), Galaxy S20 Series (Including S20 FE), Galaxy Note 20 Series, Z Fold 4, Z Fold 3, Z Fold 2, Z Flip 4, Z Flip 3, Z Flip LTE/5G, and select mid-range Galaxy A handsets. The latest update is expected to arrive on more Galaxy phones soon.
One UI 5.1 brings a new feature called “Pause USB Power Delivery” for gamers on S23. It also allows users to choose any location to save screenshots and screen recordings. However, some Galaxy phone users have complained about quick battery drain issues after updating to One UI 5.1.
